There are three levels of data destruction: erasing, damaging, and destroying. All hard drives that are brought to our recycling center get erased before getting reused.
However, the most secure way to avoid a security breach and to protect your privacy is to use a hard drive destruction service to ensure confidentiality and highly sensitive data is un-compromised. Just as paper shredding removes the risk of having sensitive paperwork fall into the wrong hands, hard drive destruction ensures your data is disposed of completely and securely.
Keeper of the Grumper has partnered with Data Destruction, LLC to ensure all confidential and highly sensitive data can be destroyed per NSA and DOD specifications.
Data Destruction, LLC can also provided certificates of destruction with serial number(s), upon request. An email address is required at drop off to receive a certificate of destruction.
Data Destruction, LLC tries to keep the cost of data destruction as low as possible. However, if the hard drive has not been removed from the device, an extra $10 fee will be incurred for the removal of the hard drive or solid state drive.
Get more information about data destruction at their website: datadestruction.online
Cost for Data Destruction:
