"Empowering the development of tomorrow's leaders"

Keeper of the Grumper Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth leadership organizations through environmental stewardship and skill development. We generate funding by responsibly recycling, refurbishing, and reselling electronics and communication equipment. These efforts directly support service projects, leadership programs, events, workshops, and internship opportunities that prepare young people to become capable, collaborative, and solution-oriented members of the workforce and their communities.
We envision a future where every young person has access to real-world leadership experiences, practical skills, and meaningful opportunities—while communities benefit from responsible environmental practices that reduce waste and promote sustainability. Through innovation, service, and education, we strive to build confident leaders who are prepared to solve complex challenges and contribute positively to society
We are committed to reducing electronic waste through ethical recycling, refurbishment, and reuse, protecting both our communities and the planet.
We believe in investing in young people by providing hands-on experiences that build leadership, confidence, and accountability.
We exist to serve—supporting community organizations, service projects, and programs that strengthen teamwork and civic responsibility.

Keeper of the Grumper Foundation started as nonprofit for grants. However, during the epidemic it became a vehicle for funding Scouting. The name comes from Scouting: in Northern Tier, a long-term scouting experience based in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. After two weeks of canoeing, one of my 20 teammates suggested that I looked like Tom Hanks in Castaway. This led to the discussion of leaving me on an island with a volleyball manufactured by Wilson. Another teammate further suggested that I would become the official greeter when Scouters visited my island and that would show them my grumper: my outhouse. Thereafter one of my many Scouting names has been Keeper of the Grumper.

BSA Troop 003 is an all-female Boy Scout Troop for High Schoolers. Female troops are relatively new and we are happy to support them. They are focused on teenage girls who want to obtain their Eagle Scout rank.

BSA Crew 003 is an inclusive program for males and females aged 14-20 for a high schoolers. They are focused on leadership and high adventure activities.

Baden-Powell Pistol Team is a competitive shooting team through Scouts BSA and the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). SASP is a feeder organization to the USA Olympics. Their team made it to the national championship in 2020.

The Catholic Committee on Scouting provides support for religious programs that serve youth, including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and American Heritage Girls throughout their dioceses.

We support youth leadership in programs ran by Catalina Council in Tucson AZ, Circle Ten Council in Dallas TX and Grand Canyon Council in Phoenix AZ.

Youths that complete their scouting program/journey, must also complete a community service project. Most Eagle Scout Projects and Summit Award Projects require funding.
